FRACTORA™ Stretch Marks Treatments are an excellent option for the positive removal of stretch marks. Stretch marks, also referred to as Striae, are white, pink, red, purple, or brown lines on the surface of the epidermis that are caused from the rapid expansion, or stretching, of the dermis, which is the scaffolding support structure of the epidermis. Once the skin is stretched passed its threshold, it ruptures the collagen based support structure of the dermis, which in effect, causes scar tissue to form. This leads to the unsightly discolored lines we refer to as stretch marks. Although stretch marks do not cause medical problems, they have a profound effect on confidence and self-esteem, and unless treated, they never go away.
The FRACTORA™ stretch mark treatment is a results oriented option for anyone who has stretch marks on their abdomen, shoulders, thighs, hips, and buttocks regardless of age(age of the stretch mark or age of the client), cause, or color! The Fractora is far superior to surgical intervention because it can be used anywhere on the body, and surgery, is only an option for the abdomen. Unfortunately, surgery leaves a very large horizontal scar the entire width of the abdomen, but fortunately, the Fractora is extremely effective treating surgical scars as well.
At Skintegrity MedSpa, we use the FRACTORA™ to gently generate a healing response by manually perforating the stretch marks, which causes C.I.T., also know as Collagen Induction Therapy, while simultaneously utilizing radio frequency to remove micro-columns of scar tissue within the stretch mark itself. Ultimately, this causes the body to start its healing response by filling the treated columns with new collagen and elastin resulting in gradual, new layers of skin. If you think getting stretch marks changed your life, getting rid of them will change it even more
Fractora News Article
The Fractora device is second generation fractional technology. It is a combination of micro-needling and fractionated technology. It is extremely versatile, incorporating several different treatment applicators. There are currently three hand pieces for Fractora™ fractional resurfacing: a dermal resurfacing tip for deeper wrinkles and lax skin, a mid-dermal tip for superficial and medium wrinkles, and a tip for superficial sun damage and facial veins. By using different combinations of these applicators we are able to tailor the treatment to the patient's exact cosmetic concerns. This allows your treatment provider to use one device to effectively treat multiple cosmetic concerns or create a "designer dermis ".
Fractora™ safely and effectively treats
The Fractora™ can safely and effectively be used to treat anywhere on the face and body. Best of all, it can treat all skin types safely. An ideal candidate is a patient with mild to moderate wrinkles, loose lax skin, and or textural issues. It is most popular for clients who want to avoid a facelift, but are looking for tighter, younger, more rejuvenated skin. However, it can also address scarring stretch marks and be used as a preventative measure to slow down the aging process.
The day of your treatment you will be red and have mild to moderate swelling. You need to keep the skin hydrated and clean, and free any makeup. Mineral makeup can be dusted over the skin in 48 hours. Depending on the aggressiveness of your treatment you may have small rough patches of skin and small micro spots from the surface micro needling component, that can be visible for up to 7 days.
You will see the surface improvement immediately following the treatment, but also continue to see improved results over the next 30-60 days as new collagen is produced. Most patients observe significant improvement after just one session, but many patients choose to have a series of multiple treatments performed to achieve even greater results. Multiple treatments are also ideal for patients who want more treatments at lower energies.Fractora stimulates the production of new collagen to remodel and rejuvenate the skin. The results are positive. However, we can't stop the aging process all together so maintenance treatments are suggested as needed, typically one service every year.
